Bananas Foster

Ingredients


2 T Brown Sugar
2 T Butter
2 Ripe Bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise and horizontally
dash Cinnamon
dash Salt
2 oz Banana Liquer
2 oz Dark Rum
Vanilla Ice Cream

Directions

Over low heat in an steel frying pan, combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. (Do not use a nonstick pan as the surface may be damaged when the dish is flambeed).
Cook until the sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Add the bananas and banana liquer and cook until the bananas begins to soften, about 2 minutes.
Add the rum and ignite the sauce. Continue to cook the bananas, spooning the sauce over the bananas, until the flame goes out.
Serve with ice cream.
