We have selected Macadamia Nut Ice Cream for our Hawaii State Dessert. Hawaii was the first state to produce the nut commercially on a large scale. For many years, Hawaii was the largest producer, but now the title goes to South Africa. The Macadamia tree is indigenous to Australia and is fairly difficult to grow.
